Mr David Whitehead
BSc MBBS MSc FRCS(ORL-HNS)
Consultant ENT & Facial Plastic Surgeon

Mr David Whitehead is a Consultant ENT & Facial Plastic Surgeon practising on Harley Street in London. He is one of a small number of UK surgeons holding both a rhinology fellowship (Manchester, 2014–15, under Prof Tim Woolford) and a European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship (Istanbul, 2021–22, under Prof Özcan Çakmak). He holds Cosmetic Surgery Board Certification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC: 4372358).
Mr Whitehead performs rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and septoplasty at Weymouth Street Hospital (CQC rated Good) in central London. His practice — NOSE London — is dedicated exclusively to surgery of the nose, combining functional ENT expertise with aesthetic facial plastic surgery training.
Philosophy
I chose to focus entirely on rhinoplasty because the nose sits at the intersection of form and function — and getting both right demands complete dedication. My dual fellowship training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery means I understand the nose from the inside out: the airway, the structure, and the aesthetics. Every consultation starts with honesty — what is achievable, what is realistic, and whether surgery is the right choice for you.

Why Choose Mr Whitehead for Your Rhinoplasty?
Dual fellowship training
Most surgeons who perform rhinoplasty in the UK are trained in either ENT surgery or plastic surgery — not both. Mr Whitehead completed a rhinology fellowship at the Manchester Royal Infirmary under Prof Tim Woolford, one of the UK's leading rhinologists, followed by a facial plastic surgery fellowship at FACEISTANBUL and Acıbadem Altunizade Hastanesi in Istanbul under Prof Özcan Çakmak, an internationally recognised authority in rhinoplasty.
This dual training means he approaches every nose as both an airway and an aesthetic structure — addressing breathing and appearance in a single procedure rather than treating them as separate problems.
RCS Board Certified in cosmetic surgery
Mr Whitehead holds Intercollegiate Board Certification in Cosmetic Surgery of the face, nose, periorbital region, and ears from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This certification requires a portfolio of evidence, a clinical assessment, and endorsement by the relevant specialty bodies. It is one of the strongest markers of cosmetic surgical competence available in the UK.
Exclusively nose surgery
Unlike many facial plastic surgeons who perform facelifts, blepharoplasty, and other procedures alongside rhinoplasty, Mr Whitehead's practice is focused entirely on the nose. This means every operating list, every consultation, and every training opportunity is dedicated to nasal surgery — primary rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and functional septoplasty.
3D imaging with Vectra H2
Every rhinoplasty consultation includes 3D imaging using the Vectra H2 system, which captures a detailed three-dimensional model of your nose. This allows Mr Whitehead to simulate planned changes on screen during your consultation, so you can visualise potential outcomes before committing to surgery.
